I was satisfied with 3/4 items in this box, and the items were deluxe (2 were even full sized) so I guess I'd say this was a good month for Glymm.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm becoming a bit tired of beauty boxes, or tired of beauty items, or if I'm just severely sleep deprived, or hungry, but I wasn't even excited to run to my mail box and claim my box. And I didn't feel much enjoyment when I opened it either. I don't know, I'm having issues. Anyhoo.

Never heard of the brand Ocean, but full sized nail polish is always much appreciated. The color I got, Special Effects, is an intense/dark Christmas red color...which is exaaaactly what I was looking for...at Christmas time (and I never did find one either). It's not a color I'd wear off-holiday, and not what I'd consider a Spring Fling appropriate color. But you can bet I'll be wearing it in December, hah.

M.Asam Magic Fini cream is a BB cream, which promises "to conceal uneven skin tone for a light, matte, natural looking finish It smoothes away the appearance of wrinkles, enlarged pored and imperfections to reveal a sun kissed health looking skin tone. It's magical". This cream has a one-color-fits-all-skin-colors.
I did a quick research on it, and apparently it just magically fits your skin tone once it's applied (really?), Apparently, it's just that magical. In the pot it's a darkish tan color, and I'm fair skinned.
When I swatched it on my hand, it did blend in nicely, however it clumped up...probably because my skin was too dry. Haven't tried on my (also dry) face, but I have a feeling this is a rather drying cream that is much better for oily skin types.
I think I'll stick to my holy grail BB cream, though (Missha Vita BB Cream, in case you were wondering. Love this stuff).

Green feather hair extensions? That's a miss for me. Maybe if I was in Vegas. Which I was, but last week. Not sure what to do with these.

I'm happy for the Anastasia lip gloss...teeny tiny sample (surprising that full size is only about double this sample size, though). I have a lot of glosses that still need to be used, so I haven't tried this. I got a bright pink color which I'm feeling doubtful that I can pull off.

And the bonus...bonuses are always good. I got this same sample previously from Glymm (in December) which was also a bonus at that time. I still haven't tried it, nor am I crazy bout it, but the best price is free!

A post about Glymm. And unreasonable things.

[Okay, this is just a rant.
And just a disclaimer...in no way, shape, or form, am I affiliated with Glymm. Just my opinion.]

Many people were a bit upset when Glymm recently decided to disable their Facebook wall; I admit I was a bit too because I found that was the only way to read other members' suggestions/comments/concerns.

After some thinking, I don't blame them!! People can be so ridiculous!
Glymm's reason to close the wall? "Individual queries on our Facebook Page are difficult to track and therefore limit our ability to answer your questions effectively and efficiently".

1) I believe this is a very legitimate reason, however I honestly think it's dumb of people to expect a reply from the company when people solely contacted them via the wall. Were those really people's expectations?? Seriously? I know social media is one of those new ways to get in contact with the community but I don't think this should be an expectation of a company.

2) I remember seeing plenty of people asking questions repeatedly when it was asked and answered in previous posts...I'm sure that wasn't annoying/frustrating or anything...

3) I'm sure they also suffered a lot of negative feedback. Some were legitimate, such as people complaining about late shipping (they were 1 week late this month), missing products, or not receiving deluxe samples (which is one of the major points of service that Glymm clearly advertises). Some were not so legitimate. Really, complaining that you didn't like the color of your full size eyeshadow/lipgloss/eyeliner/nailpolish?? Right, because they are going to start catering to everyone's color preferences...I'm sure that wouldn't be super time consuming or anything!! Seriously, this is only a $10 box. The amount of personalization is only going to be so limited and it's reflected in the price of the service.  I wouldn't want bright blue eye shadow either but some people like that sorta thing; I'm not going to fault Glymm for it.

Or complaining that the product you received didn't work/you got an allergic reaction/ or you simply didn't like it?? The whole purpose of the subscription is to introduce you to products you may not usually buy to test it out before buying the full size items...it's not a guarantee you will LIKE it or that your body won't suffer a reaction! Everyone reacts differently to products; that's out of Glymm's control.

Or how about complaining that Glymm isn't sending jellybeans anymore??? Many people acted angry/nagging/annoyed at its sudden disappearance. Yeah, it was kinda neat to get a small bottle of jelly bellys in each month's box. This was an EXTRA. It was never promised in their terms of service that this was going to be a monthly thing, so why should they be expected? I bet Glymm wishes they never sent them to begin with.

Oookay.
So in other news, I am a bit sad panda that in addition to Glymm being 1 week behind in shipping, my box was supposedly shipped on Feb 17th but not actually processed (i.e. received by Canada Post) until Feb 21! Sigh. Expected delivery date...Feb 28th.
I've already peeked (obviously) at what others have received. I'm pretty sure that battle of trying to decide to discontinue Glymm versus Luxebox is much more obvious.

Unboxing: January's Glymm Box

It's here!!
I admit, I'm not a very patient girl, so I've been reading a lot of other peoples' blogs/Youtube videos to get an idea of what my month's box would contain.
I got exactly what I hoped I'd get...I think I'll end up using/trying each item from this month this time (compared to December's box).

For those that don't know, Glymm is a monthly beauty box subscription service, where each month, they send 4-5 deluxe-sized beauty samples from luxury brands, all in a pretty little box. It's one of the four beauty box subscriptions in Canada; there is also Loose Button, Top Box, and (just recently) Glossybox.

I will end up trying every single item here. Plus a full sized black eye pencil that in itself exceeds the price of the subscription? Can't really go wrong. Who can't use a black pencil? (Don't answer that).
Can't wait to try the facial cleanser tonight; I have been looking for new cleansers to use.

I tried the cream earlier; and I like it. It's not greasy feeling and it does feel hydrating. I didn't get to wear it for very long (too much hand cleaning) so not sure on it's 24 hr moisturizing guarantee. Didn't care much for the scent...was a mix of honey and milk. Luckily, I find it subtle enough that I didn't feel like wanting to wash it off immediately after applying.

Will I continue my subscription?
Definitely, yes!

Unboxing: December's Glymm Box

Since I just started this blog, I'm posting up what I got in my December's subscription boxes.December was the first month I had subscribed to Glymm and Loose Button's Luxe Box.

Glymm is a monthly beauty box subscription service, where each month, they send 4-5 deluxe-sized beauty samples from luxury brands, all in a pretty little box. It's one of the three beauty box subscriptions in Canada; there is also Loose Button and Top Box.

This is my December's Glymm Box, unboxed. Cellphone quality style photo!

Impressions.

I was happy to see the hand creams in this box. I have dry skin as it is, and my job wreaks havoc to my hands. Thus, I am always interested in trying different types of hand creams! Plus the full size lip gloss was a nice touch; and I found it applied very nicely to my lips. It wasn't at all heavy or sticky feeling, but still felt moisturizing.

The only disappointment was the perfume. Others who had gotten the same item had their sample in a miniature perfume bottle versus the tubular vial that mine came in (much like regular perfume samples that you'd get at the perfume counter). C'est le vie though...I'm not a fan of the scent. Too powdery/floral for my liking.

Will I continue my subscription?
Yes!
